Default Dyno Results

Had the car ('03 C2) on the Dyno yesterday to see what it's putting down after installing the following mods:

EVOMS Intake
RSS Plenum
Maxspeed Headers & 200 Cell Cat's
Cargraphic Exhaust
Revo Stage 2 Software

The car sounds like a beast (real LOUD) and feels much faster on the top end.

Nice! Do you have a baseline run prior to mods?

So if I reading it right, it seems like you picked up +5 hp and maybe about +14 of torque

Here's the manufacturers data
320 hp @ 6,800 rpm
TORQUE 273 lb-ft @ 4,250 rpm

can't do it that way.

really needed to run a baseline run. then install the mods right then and there. then run the dyno again.

that result is actually prety good, even though you didnt run a base, you def picked up at least 25hp based on manf specs!

prob is PAG doesn't really have the most accurate dyno numbers. still nice to see where the car is and that +25 over claims is great! still need a baseline to see where you were actually before the mods.

again to dell's point, this is typical internet goo goo gah gah bs.

thx for sharing, but without a baseline same day same conditions before after mods runs... it's just a ballpark figure so if a bone stock carrera runs as fast as you i really wouldn't be surprised.

I am amazed how so many dyno operators somehow know exactly what the loss ratio is of the drivetrain and are able to accurately translate their, otherwise questionable chasis dyno numbers into the exact hp of the engine. They are just amazing people.

a stock 996 3.6 C2 on average puts down like 270-280 whp and 230-240 wlbs/ft if I am not wrong...

c'mon guys, I know you can fudge instruments, i do it all the time (Im an instrumentation/control engineer), but to say that without a base, the dyno means nothing... yes to a point. But, even with the base dyno you can still fudge the outcome... hell, why not fudge the base and the outcome.

Hi guys,

Thanks for your comments. The mods were done in stages, not all at once and I did not do a dyno when it was bone stock. I did this dyno more to to make sure the air/fuel is within reason based on these mods. According to the technician it is.

These #'s are to the wheels, not crank. Figuring in drive train loss would equate to ~360 at the crank.

Sorry, but without a SC, you won't "eat a bone stock C2 alive".

I want to see the actual whp numbers.

These are *estimated* hp numbers with some ratio that determines flywheel hp based on what is *actually* measured (whp). What are the whp numbers?

At least we can compare to the average range of measured whp for stock carreras.

I believe the mods do make a difference and increase the hp, but it would be nice to see an actual whp graph.
