New member and new 2000 c/2 owner
Hello everyone and some background. I decided to purchase the car that I promised myself I would one day own. I was about 11 years old when my Mothers close friend picked me up from elementary school in his new 1977 yellow 911 Carrera 3. I was hooked from that day forward. In my youth, I was fortunate enough to attend many SCCA races that fielded the lovely 911 in many of its forms that further instilled and fostered a deep desire for the 911. That said here it is... oh, and a question.
Some pics from the dealer. Sorry, haven't had time to take pictures.
2000 Porsche 911 Carrera. Ocean Blue. 35k original miles.
One of the front 18'' turbo twists is nicked up. I would like to purchase a New replacement for it. Can I get one through Porsche, and if so roughly how much would one wheel cost. I imagine about a grand.
Thanks for any info.

Welcome to Rennlist and Congrats on getting a nice looking 996! Thanks for sharing the pics.
Check with WheelEnhancement.com for one wheel. You might also check with a wheel repair expert in your area. Depending on how bad the curb rash is, it will probably cost between $100 and $200 to repair the wheel.
First mod suggestion: Harvest those pumpkins and install some clear side markers. You can get them from Eric @ BumperPlugs.com

Welcome & congrats. I did just as you only 1 month ago. The people on this website are awesome (as you can tell by Tims response). Everyone is always ready to help and the level of expertise is second to none.

Congratulations on getting your dream car. It's beautiful. Welcome aboard...this place is great. Here is the number for SilverStar recycling in CA (Sacramento area)...916-631-7300. Ask for Ryan. I have done lots of business with them, they are great. I needed a replacement chrome 17 inch turbo twist...it was $225. I bought an entire set of flawless factory polished 18 inch turbo twist wheels and good tires from a fellow rennlister for $1250. If you post on this forum that you need one wheel, you should be able to find it. I have purchased and sold several parts on this site...you won't find a nicer group of people.

Welcome Bluescast,
I think there is a wheel for you in the classifieds section of this forum. If it is gone, do as Mark (mfletch) said, just post it and you will find one (or four, as I did). best wishes, Andy T

Ah that's what the dealer told me but who really knows. It looks a lot like yours though. But the color is difficult to describe, sometimes it looks black, sometimes blue or purple, other times green depending on lighting conditions.
