I know a guy who has a turbo, but got a new Camaro Z28 to track. His plate is: GM GT3. He's the one behind me at Auto Club Speedway.

A few years ago while walking through the parking garage at O'Hare, I saw a new 911, white with tinted windows, aftermarket rims, some body work etc. Might have been a turbo, dont remember that as I was in a hurry. The plate?

THE STIG

Been jealous ever since, but not sure if I'm more jealous of the car or the plate.

If you pick a plate that 99% of the population doesn't understand, and spell it in l33t sp33k, you bypass the "everyone can remember it" problem, but you instead get to explain what the plate means.

The California pattern for standard plates is 1AAA111 (one number, three letters, three numbers)...5CHN3LL is close enough at first glance that many people never realize it's a vanity plate...
