How does the tire look on the rear? It is not too ballooney? General recommends a 9.5" rim for the 275/30-19 but you have a 10.5". I see now why it does not rub, the section width is about a half inch narrower than my car plus you have 100lbs less weight over the rear with the manual over my tip.

By not balloney do you mean too low a profile? I think it is somewhere between too low and too balloney. Do you have a close up pic of your rear wheel/tire?

How much or how often do the rears rub? I would rather have a more non-low profile look. If I lower the car though, I would want to stick with the current tires.
do you have a hard time cleaning those wheels? Use any special tools? I would love to get something like that setup but the idea of having to clean in between all of those spokes frightens me!

It's not too hard, takes a little time. I am sure there is a tool or an easier way but I just run micro fibre sponge over and through the spokes and same when drying with micro fibre towel.
I am still learning how to detail properly and wax, right now I just use sonus and lot's of micro fibre. I have only had the car a few weeks but will do the first wax soon.
Rennlist has a wealth of knowledge. In searching - I found that autotopia has more info on cleaning and stuff http://www.autopia-carcare.com/detailingclay.html

Detailing is something that I have learned how to do pretty good with my new Porsche, spent 18 hours on detailing it a couple of weeks ago (just the outside).
I am using synthetic polishes and waxes (Merzerna and Einszett) which I like because it makes the paint really bright. I am using it on my wheels as well (middle section). I am waiting for some stuff to use on the lip though because it is clear coated.
But I have a recommendation for cleaning in-between washes just to get rid of dust - use a Swiffer duster. I keep one in the car just for the wheels. It grabs all of the dust from the spokes.

What width is your r wheels?
Tires rub all the time on bumps but mine are 295's on a 10.5" rim, you have 275's on the same. That was my question of the tire being too small.
Who is general? Tirerack gives the same tire recommendations up to an 11" rim.
True, they recommend a 9.5 but it seems the 10.5 works just fine, looks great. I have a brand new pair of General UHP 275/30-19's sitting in the garage not being used from a friend, this may solve my rubbing issue.
Cory - are you still running the wheels in you avatar? Weren't those the wheels that had the wrong offsets?
Yes they are...
I took them off once the cords were showing on the tires. Put the sweet Boxster wheels back on until I get my wheels machined at work and I replace the rears.
