I can get hte Bosch group 48 or 49 batteries at Pep Boys for $90 but no nothing about them. Anyone know how they compare to the interstate battery and in terms of dimensions, weight and cranking amps? Thanks, I want to ensure I'm buying the right battery and not regret this later..
Based on that post referenced above over at RennTech, the Interstate battery is also made by Johnson Controls. So it should be the same as the Bosch battery (and most of the others) except for cosmetics. If you look at the instructions in the vent tube package, it will say Johnson Controls on if it is made by Johnson Controls.
The smaller battery has worked well for me (but it never gets cold here).
