Default Help with Carrera badge...

Washed my car and broke a small piece off the Carrera script...

I am thinking of removing it totally, does anyone know what to use to remove the "glue"...

If I do decide to get a new carrera script, what do I use to glue it on with ?

While I am asking the questions:

Anyone have experience with the rennline pedals ?

Saw the old one off with a length of dental floss. Use some "Goof Off" or WD40 to dissolve and remove any remaining adhesive. The new one will come with a self-stick adhesive backing.

Use masking tape to 'mark' the position of the original badge before you remove it - that way you'll get the new one lined up perfectly first time!

What they ^ said about removing and replacing the badge. What color is your car? If it is dark, yo may want to consider replacing it with a brushed silver badge.

My Lapis Blue C2 came with a black badge and I replaced it with a brushed silver colored badge, which looks much better, IMO.

Works best when you let it soak into the glue for 10-15 mins before trying to wipe off - just an observation

Like Tim said, the color of your car plays a big part! My car is white and I had a silver 911 on the rear. I upgraded to black 19's and changed my badge to the black carrera to complete the monochromatic look! What color is yours, we wont hesitate to force our opinion on you!

Great choice, the black definitely looks better on the grey and white cars. There are similar threads that provide you with the exact measurement for placement if you have troubles!

I used a blow dryer for a small amount of time, then it came off very easy with some dental floss (and my hands smelled fresh afterwards) . Used my fingernail for the larger pieces of glue. Then the goo gone and elbow grease for the rest!

I've got them on the GT3 and they're awesome. Great quality, easy to install, hard to beat the price. Still look great 2 years later. No affiliation, etc., just a happy customer.

Thanks! I would agree that the black badge looks good on the seal.

What they said about removing it and marking it before removing it.

As for the colour of the badge, I thought it really depended on the oil you used in the car, or was that the colour of the calipers, or was that the brake fluid type and/or colour
