WHen I swapped my black badge for the silver one, I wanted to make sure I got teh badge in exactly the right place so I drilled a couple of holes in the deck lid and inserted a couple of bolts then I ran a string between the bolts to align the badge (1st pic). It worked perfectly! You can hardly even see the bolt heads on the deck lid (2nd pic).
BTW - do you think a little touch up paint will make the bolt heads invisible?
Ha ha, funny you should mention that, all I had lying around was that tree trunk paint, It matches my car pretty good. Who knew tree trunk paint was glacier white!!! Maybe Eric can make us some plugs!

Brushed silver bolt heads? Yeah, you betcha!
I used a 3/8" drill bit. I thought about using a 1/4" bit, but since I was going to be using nylon string (none of that cheap cotton stuff for my Porsche, no Sir! ) and planned to stretch the nylon string really tight, I thought I had better "Biggie Size" it.
gota 911, your badge still doesn't look straight, you might have to drill another hole to get it perfect.
I used a metal ruler and scratched a line in the paint just under the logo.
Now I can replace it as many times as I want and get it perfectly aligned every time.
Might try the bolts and fishing line instead and fill in the missing paint with my fill-in pen..

Haa!! Cool, speed holes!! Helps get more air to the engine, right! And the bodies are galvanized, so you don't have to worry about rust! Great job!
You should have left the string there, to hang various ornaments during holiday time!

As for the colour of the badge, I thought it really depended on the oil you used in the car, or was that the colour of the calipers, or was that the brake fluid type and/or colour
Almost... if you installed a clear bra it was silver, otherwise it was black.
Those look fantastic, the whole interior shot is "+A1", I will opt for the "Alu" color since my interior is black, how difficult are they to install...

Thanks, the "alu" with black will look great. The install was easy, but if you're a big guy it might be a bit cramped... remember to measure 2x and drill 1x.
Tim...I don't think you need to drill holes...the badge comes with double sided tape! And how did you cover the holes after you installed the badge?? Don't you think that this brings the value of your P down??
The combination of blue with a grey interior isn't that fantastic as it is....and now you got to sell the 2 extra holes in your car...maybe you can tell the potential buyer (if you ever get one!) that the holes are for a GT3 spoiler.
