Default Summer / Winter rim and tire storage - cover?

I'll be buying Winter rims and tires, and since there is no room in the garage, I have to keep my extra rims outside somewhere.

Is there some kind of specific cover made, like a car cover, to protect the 4 rims and tires from the elements? Or, do I just buy a cheap car cover that breathes to wrap the wheels up for their stay in the elements? I would think there would be some specific tire storage cover thingy - but can't find any when I search.

What do you guys wind up doing?

Have you considered hanging them on the wall? I got these hangers from Griots and they work well at keeping them out of the way. Storing them outside is not really the best. covered or not.

I can't hang anything on the walls, since the walls are just cinderblock. Plus, there is no room to have 4 tires sticking out - it's a one car garage that is pretty thin! I like the look of the rims hangin up there though, very cool - wish I had the wall space.

That Tire Garage cover looks to be just what I need!! Thanks for the link!!

Why is storing rims outside bad?

Nope. My ceiling is about 7' tall.

I need a bigger house!

I'd bring them to an offsite storage facility. The wheels will be fine outside but I fear the tires/rubber will get damaged at winter temps.

How do you put them into the cinderblock?

Either way, I don't have the wall space!

They make fasteners to attach things to cinderblock. Drill a hole, insert fastener, and you are done!

I am having a hard time imagining why you couldn't fit them into a corner at the top where you don't need to walk that much. Your car is rather short.
