Yes, just pull the whole thing off. There are about 5 "spring clips" which hold the A pillar on VERY firmly. I started at the end by the B pillar and worked my way toward the front. Mine was very stubborn and I had to pull quite hard. When the clips disengage, the sound is very loud, almost like plastic breaking. I really don't think you will break anything.
Tim -- Thanks for the info. I'm familiar with the spring clips for the rear panel, sounds similar. Good to know it's the whole piece extending to the B-pillar.

redridge -- I'll let you know if I break a nail!
And the service manager's answer at the Porsche dealer when I questioned weak remote batteries for the limited range???? "It's designed that way on purpose, Porsche wants you next to your car when you unlock it, they wouldn't want someone to find your keys and walk through a parking lot waiting to find the car they unlock." Duh - yeap - there are always a TON of Porsches in the parking lot...would take forever to figure out which one a Porsche key unlocks.

Yes, it is one big piece...it comes off really easily with a gentle pull...

Yes - RennTech has all the details. Found it after I got the BS response from the dealer. But I did actually believe them...at first. Maybe one day I'll get brave and attempt it.

As Doug Donsbach stated at the bottom of his post (#4 in this thread) it is really not as difficult/complicated as the RennTech DIY makes it seem. Once you get the A pillar cover off, it is very straight forward.

Just try it man...seriously, you really can't hurt or break anything....I am really bad about stuff like this and shake on my pants in attempting new stuff...this I would rate a 1 out of 10 in difficulty....comparably to disconnecting the negative on your battery...or checking your oil dipstick....how is that for easy?
So guys is this the same procedure for the MK2s? Looks like the MK2s already have this 130mm thing done, but gota911 mentions placing the antenna outside of the sheath?
The TSB (9962) is dated 7/04 but the introduction date was 3/25/04 and began with VIN 99 84S 62 2452. So it should be easy to determine if your car had this applied from the factory by comparing that information to the production date or VIN on your car.
So the dealer tells me that there's another TSB that requires them to order a new antenna and place it on the dash or something... so to clarify, is there a TSB for '03-'04 and none for the '02?
