Good to hear.
Ok, now for a related question (not entirely OT) ... I assume the radio has some kind of code. Does it lose the code if the battery is pulled, or does it retain memory internally for a brief while??? I bought the car (01 996) used and don't have the code.....
Secondly, what are mounting options? I saw one earlier in this thread. Other options?

Yes, the radio code will be needed if you are disconnecting the battery. When the original owner purchased the car, it most likely came with business card thingys that had the radio code on it. If you don't have those...
However, having said that, in a pinch, I've been told that the guy doing the radio install on the mfg line hand wrote the the radio code on the options sticker on the underside of the front hood. When I was told that, I didn't belive it. Then I checked my car... Might work for you too, check it out. Report back as I'm curious as to how prevalent that "handwritten radio code" is...
Good luck!

If you join RennTech.org, they may be able to help you with the code.
