for N. East winter commute CPO audi A4

Gotcha!! Actually, I picked it up on Autotrader from a dealer in Texas 2 years ago with 17K miles and bought it sight unseen. It's been a good car - but I "loaned" it to my son in med school. See, I (I mean we) actually drove it!

Wayne, I guess you are planning having him ride "shotgun" in your car, 'cuz he probably already has his car in moth *****.

What's up on the 30th? Organized drive, or will I just be riding in yours? I'm picking up on my NOAA that the weather guys are predicting the first major snow on that date in Philly, so we'll have to play it day to day.

you can pick up an allroad for about that price now, they depreciate like crazy
I still love my 2004 2.7t 6spd, I'll keep it a long time
much safer for kids, more comfortable than an a4, built like a tank and it can go anywhere, it can even tow 3500lbs

Yeah, Audis do depreciate - especially S4s. But, I'm buying it for long term so I don't care all that much. I would have leased an AWD BMW, but couldn't warm up to it. I like the allroad, but don't want a wagon or SUV at this point. Kids are grown.

older one is 5 years old, younger one is 3 years old.
i use toddler seat. i think they should be fine, it's a 5 minutes, less than 2 miles short drive from my house to day-care.
for the same $$, i would get a smaller and newer A4.

Dry run for the next drive. Me and spiderv6 going for a run to see if the roads that we'll be using are any fun and find the places we'll be stopping for food and gas.
Pl sorry to hear you cannot make it on the 13th. We'll have you along in the spring I'm sure.

do u think a cayenne full of car seats fits in your fall fling?
#27
Sure, we had 2 Cayennes along at the last drive without any issues. The only thing we ask is that the large cars give the smaller cars plenty of space and promise not to squish anyone.
Any SUV can be an issue if it's followed too closely, or follows another car too closely, but if plenty of space if given back and front, then I don't see any issues.

My wife is sleeping at the other end of the house but I'm afraid I'll wake her up 'cuz I'm laughing so loudly! Every time I visualize your son and Phil in the car seats, I burst out laughing. I've GOT to see a pic of that!
Phil religated to a car seat!!! Maybe that will convince him to drive the C4S!!!
