Yes - it is a donation and it is well worth it. As to the noise, I went through this with my '04, apparantly the windshield rope is not a fix for my year. The fix was simply to clean and lubricate under the windshield seal, including the seal at the cowl at the bottom of the windshield. I am still in disbelief that this worked and the noise has not returned. Easy and no cost to give it a try.
Now if I can only get my wife to stop buying the store brand syrup, and I really like the idea of a plastic spatula to replace the metal one that is hanging on the...ah....way too much information.
