Is Porsche going to begin rebuilding 996 engines?

The factory spring clamp is a PITA. I was told by 99Firehawk to just use a worm clamp. I was determined I could use the factory clamp. I must of tried 20 times to get the bellow and the clamp on at the same time and finally gave up. I grabbed a spring clamp and finished the job. They must of used the factory clamp that take an act of God to put on and it was not fully engaged each time it popped off.

It seems inevitable that Porsche will stop rebuilding 996 engines at some point. That won't be bad. Just different. Sometimes it will cost more than a rebuild, sometimes less.
If you want testimonials you would be much better off doing a search. Most of us are sick of retyping the same old stuff. He's the short version. 3.4Ls have tens of thousands of successful track miles in DE, club racing and semi-pro racing like Grand Am Cup. Drive it and have fun. If you're worried about it, buy mine. It has the full factory oiling kit.

Jim, if I bought yours, I would never get to say words like F*&& and SH*% or G*& D&%%$#! Think of all the skinned knuckles I would miss out on by not building a car.
You car looks to be above my talent level.
