Hi,
I am new to the forum,
I recently acquired my first Porsche 2003 C4S as i used to own BMWs for most of the time. What a change, i will never be able to go back.. I love this car so much that i bought another one for restoration '75 911S which me and my 2 sons are doing together.
I had my first small problem the other day, the cover of my headlight washer nozzle parted company with the car and i had to get a complete new nozzle. Does anyone know how to install this, do i just lift out the nozzle or is there a trick to it?
Help is much appreciated.

Remove:
1. Remove main headlights (refer to your Owners Manual).
2. Remove spray nozzle for headlight cleaning system on the left side .
3. Undo M6 hex nut from the spray nozzle holder.
4. Separate plug-in coupling and take out the spray nozzle.
5. Loosen hose clamp and pull hose off the spray nozzle
6. Remove spray nozzle for headlight cleaning system on the right side .
7. Undo M6 hexagon nut from the spray nozzle holder and lift the spray nozzle out.
8. Loosen hose clamp and pull hose off the spray nozzle
Note: a heat gun can sometimes be used to help remove a sticky hose.
Install:
1. Push hose as far as it will go onto the new spray nozzle and fasten the hose clamp.
2. Reinstall new spray nozzle with holder in the same position. Tightening torque of the M6 hex nut (3.5 ftlb.)
3. Push plug-in coupling to lock with an audible click, then check the locking with a slight pull.
4. Install main headlight and check position of the spray nozzle in the cover trim. Remove the main headlight again and center the spray nozzle if necessary.
5. Install main headlight, check it and perform a function test.

Geez Loren - that sounds a lot more complicated than when I did (both of) mine recently.
1) Leave headlight on car if you prefer.
2) pull nozzle (naked since you lost your chrome bits) out ie forwards.
3) use a needle nose vice grip or something to *lightly* clamp the assembly into which the nozzle is inserted. This wil keep the assembly from retracting back into headlight.
4) Using a small screwdriver, or hooked tool, lift the serated tab which will allow you to extract the old nozzle from the assembly.
5) Insert the new nozzle as far as it will go, the serated tabs will lock it in place.
6) Hold onto the nozzle and remove the clamp.
7) Avoid using headlight washers - ever.
Loren's instructions sound like they may belong to the previous model? There's no nuts to undo for instance. Not that I saw.
Disclaimer - I would never even dream of second guessing Loren who I don't know but since he runs his own techical forum 996 I'm guessing is smarter than me. But I *did * jus do this just recently and it was'ntlike he describes. Please post back.
Good luck.

Thanks Guys,
Will do that in the morning and report back, the part that i got looks like it has the the serrated tab on the one side, will try the less complicated procedure first.
I agree will never use the HL washers ever again.

I did think about disabling the headlight washers - is there a fuse that can be pulled? I am assuming the water pressure is what extends the nozzle so disabling the pump would keep them from flying off.
Post a photo of the replacement if you can for the next guy unfortunate enough to have to buy a whole new nozzle because the $%$## cover isn't attached securely enough.
