Sunoco 94 here in Canada baby! I use that as much as I can, but if I'm in a pinch and can't find a Sunoco, I just go to Shell, etc as long as its above 90.
Sunoco 93 exclusively - they used to have 94 here in NY but that went away. I do have access to 100 and 105 that I did see a bump from in my chipped TT but I haven't tried it on the 996.
OK, went to my local paint store and not only did they not have anything labeled "Toluene" in the solvent section, the young guy behind the counter didn't know WTF I was talking about. (Big surprise these days).
Does it come labeled any other way? They had Naptha, acetone, ketone(?), and about 5 other solvents, just no toluene. Help?

I won't use it. They achieve their octane rating with methanol. The resulting 94 is a true reflection of its knock resistance, but the engine management system doesn't see it that way. With a lot of cars, my previous Bimmers included, the car ran rich on Ultra 94. You could tell by the soot in the tailpipe.
I'm currently using Shell's premium fuel. Lower octane rating, but no methanol. All my cars run better on it than on Ultra 94, and the mileage is marginally better, too.
If I could buy it in California I would. I have run a 100/91 mix, but it's costly and I have to burn almost 2 gallons just to get to the gas station that has 100 and back. Welcome to the Socialists Republic of California...
