Yes, what are you upgrading from. This could make a big difference. I currently have a c2 996 and when I upgrade it would be to a TT. Then probably a GT3. But if you are upgrading from a different or older model the 996 is a beautiful choice. The exhaust sound is brilliant, the acceleration pure and handling well, any curve, any time, any place!!!!

+1 with MSU. My exact planned progression.

Has anyone been tracking the TT prices? Hmmmm??

lost it, I would recommend the turbo because you will always want more speed. I have had my 996 c2 for some time now and with the prices being resonable, I am leaning towards the TT upgrade.

What are you plans? Daily driver, DE events, any plans for mods?

It looks like you can get a fairly nice TT now in the upper 50's to low 60's - nice

996 TT's are a great value, but the thing that i could never like about it is the turbo lag. The throttle response is lacking and it's not linear either, but for some people i understand that the swell of power makes it fun - just not for me.

the GT3 is insane with the latest iteration being my fav 911, but i do like the widebody of the 997 C4S.

sorry for the tangent!

I think that the lag is part of its charm - IMO

Drooled all over a 2006 997 C4S in Lapis Blue last week. Not impressed with the cab aspect, but that shape in Lapis Blue = WOW!

I really envy you C4S guys. While they look good on the net, they are BEAUTIFUL in person.
