You should be able to get the remaining glue off by rubbing with your fingers. Then use some paint polish. Wax after you apply the new one as you don't want to apply the new "S" on a freshly waxed surface. I switched my "Boxster" logos a couple years ago.

If you need to, use Goo-Gone.
It's safe to use on painted surfaces, but clean it after you are done, and wax over coz' the Goo-Gone strips everything off.

Hi,

I recently did this as well.....replaced my gray "s" with the red "s"....bought it from that guy on ebay. Anyhow, my red "s" came with an alcohol swab/pad, which removed the glue fairly easily and has no impact on the paint.

good luck and make sure you have the bottom of the "4" properly lined up under the carrera portion just right before you press it down.

Just did a search on ebay....can't seem to find the guy who sells them. I think mine was about 25 or 30 bucks shipped. It was a new "4S", but I only used the "s" portion. No cutting needed.

I bought mine from him outside of ebay....I'll try to get his info...I think I still have the box. I had it 2 days after I paid.

So what do you recommend to clean the surface that will not damage the paint prior to putting on a new badge?
