Default Head Light Cover

While driving on the I10 another car launched a piece of road debris to my bumper cover. While getting the 3 inch cut repaired I decided to get my headlight covers repainted to match the body paint. Here’s before and after pictures. It’s also before and after changing wheels and installing ROW M030 suspension. What do ya’ll think?

I've never been a fan of the head light covers. A nice mod that I have seen on the head lights though is the removal of the amber background and replaced with a clear background. I like the paint color and wheels though. Looks nice!! Like you say in your signature, everyone is unique and have their own style.

Enjoy your ride..

I think it looks much cleaner. What are your initial thoughts on the M030 suspension? It's probably the type I'm considering because I don't want to give up too much ground clearance for winter driving in the CO snow country.

THe headlight covers look much better than unpainted (or black). I have never seen another 996 with a pinstripe. I'm not too sure about that one. Nice color, the Pastel Yellow!

I really like the kit. The ride height wasn’t lowered too much; maybe an inch or a little more after settling. The handling is better due to firmer springs and stouter sway bars. I recommend it, you won’t be sorry.

Nooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!

Headlight covers aren't for me - sorry

But the color is fantastic - is that FLY? (Ferrari Light Yellow)

New wheels plus suspension take years off the car - really sharp look

Get Eric (Bumperplugs) to do your bumperettes - would look even better!

Lose the covers and the pinstripes. You have a unique color, pastel is sweet, dont kill the look.

To each their own. The color is Pastel Yellow; I never heard of FLY. It was offered for only two years; 98 & 99 according to Rennteck.org. I spent the better part of the day polishing her up. I plan on getting the painted bumperettes but at $279+ it’s a little on the expensive side just for paint.

What do I think? I think you gotta lose that pinstripe. I can't get past it. Sorry.

That’s a thought; no covers at all. I’m not sure what it would look like without them. The paint and the pinstripes are original; though I’ve never been a fan of pinstripes. Thanks for the suggestions.

Another vote for getting rid of the pin stripe.

rleeq, I love the painted headlight covers. I think they look great. I also have the orange factory ones (pumpkins)...the painted covers are an inexpensive alternative to changing from the orange lights to the clear ones (headlight, taillight, and side markers). It makes your car look unique. I'm also a big fan of the unusual colors. The wheels also look great, especially with the car being lowered. My next big expenditure will be the ROW M030 suspension.
Congratulations on a great loooking car. I agree on the painted bumperettes....they will look nice on your car.

If you like thats all that matters. I had ambers and went the clear route, but considered the covers..... I do love the color, but would lose the stripe...... Cheers...
