Default Selling my 2004 C2 - Price Reduced

Ok guys, I have reduced the price of my 2004 C2 from $48,000 to $46,000. Here is a link to the Rennlist Classified Ad, which shows ALL of the specifics on the car.

Pic ****??? ME????

My wife's MB CLK320 Cab is comming off lease in October, so we will be shuffeling cars around a little. We are going to buy her next car (as opposed to leasing) so we will probably get her replacement car when the Porsche sells and I'll drive the MB until the lease it up. That will give me time to 1) decide what kind of car I want (I know it will NOT be a MB) and 2) find the right car.

Plus, my daughter still has 3 years of college left which I have to pay for!

Heretical. And it isn't sold yet. But since I want to move my car, and the nibbles over the past 6 weeks haven't done it, I tried ebay.

While I haven't met my reserve, I have 13 people watching with 3 days left. More importantly, after 4 days 500 people (literally 487) have viewed it, compared to 191 over at PCA's listing in 6 weeks. I know here and PCA will have more focused and motivated viewers, but there has been quite a bit of activity versus my Rennlist/PCA ads.

Of course, I'll be as careful as I can regarding protecting myself when (IF) it sells, but I'll keep you posted as to how that goes if you are motivated to try there.

Gary - thanks for the info. I am a little wary of listing it on eBay. I I sense you are, also. I would really like to hear about your experience when all is said and done. Thanks!

FWIW, I sold my current car through Craigslist, but have had good experiences selling two cars in the past over ebay.

By the way, good luck Tim - you have a beautiful car.

Why do you list it as a 5-speed?

I have noticed that before on other ads. Because of that I was very careful to select "6-speed" on the drop-down selection box. Don't know why it shows as 5-speed. Maybe it changed when I updated the ad with more info. I'll see if I can change it back to 6speed. Thanks Paul.

Edit: I was able to change the ad to read "6-speed".

That's what happened to my ad too. Someone asked in my thread if my asking price was "low" because it was "missing a gear". I didn't stop laughing for 5 minutes while I fixed it.....
