help with mod selection! :)
Hi all. I'm new here (to posting anyways - been a guest for years). I recently got a 2003 C4S and would like to do some quick mods. As far as mods go, I like mine clean. Here's what I'm looking to do:
1. Lower by 1 - 1.5 inches - what is the best way of doing this? I've heard lowering springs are the best way to go (i don't need better (rougher) suspension). What is the brand most people have had success with?
2. Clear side markers - where do I get these?
3. removal of black bumper guards near the rear license plate - god these things are ugly - how do i get rid of em and make the car look more european?
4. wheels - looking at bbs rs-gt 19" - what have been people's experiences with these? where are the best prices? especially in canada!
5. power - the car has plenty of power, but what are some of the simple things I can do to get power up? chips? exhausts? (i would like exhausts options that allow me to keep the current PSE that I have - don't want to lose that sweet sound!)
6. I would like to add a wing to the car. What are my best options? I've seen these Misha wings that look pretty good - are they quality pieces? Where can I buy them and how much can I expect to pay?
Any help is appreciated!
Cheers,
Mo.

Yo Mo!
Welcome.
Before you get flamed too badly, take a moment please and do a search for the items on your mod list. The topics have been gone over many times and I think that you will find much of what you are looking for.

Some websites for you to check out... sharkwerks.com and bumperplugs.com. Both have good folks who can help answer your questions. You can check out their products online. They both have most of what you are looking for.
And note, the pictures should be of your car

MO - welcome to Rennlist. It is customary for "Newbies" to post a few pics of their car and tell us a little about it (i.e. options, mileage, etc.).
1. Suspension - If you lower you car by just swapping out the springs, they will not be matched to the shocks and can cause a bouncy ride and wear out the shocks prematurly. Look at ROW M030 suspension, or consider X73/X74 (I don't remember which one is for the C4/C4S), or PSS9 suspension, which is completely adjustable for ride height and stiffness.
2. Clear sides - Contact Eric at BumperPlugs.com
3. Thank the US DOT for the bumperettes. There are structural reinforcements under the bumperettes, so getting teh Euro look is costly and extensive. Better option is to contact Eric at BumperPlugs.com and get some painted bumperettes.
4. Wheels - many options and too numerous to mention here. Just make certain you get the correct offset so they fit properly on your "wide bodied" C4S.
5. Power gain - very little you can do that is worth any real power gain. Most lower cost options ($1k - $3k) won't yield much additional power.
6. Wing - diferent ones are available. It really depends on your preference to the style or look of the wing.
OK, there is some help. Now post the @#$*%^& pics!
