Does anyone have a good vendor where I can order some kind of silver paint, but amber light Philips bulb to replace the amber stock signal bulb?
I want to get rid of the egg yolk look up front.

Ideally I want bulbs from Phillips which I used on my M3. The aftermarket, non-OEM types usually have dim amber lighting whereas the OEM application types have them just as bright except on the outside they're silver.

Ben,
If you replaced your pumpkins with clear side markers....I think the pumpkins actually have clear OEM bulbs in them. I think some people use those bulbs in the clear sides for a white light.
Hope that helps.

Fitting silver bulbs won't get rid of the yolk, you need to perform amberectomy first. Silver bulbs are found here

Ben - didn't we go through this when you wanted to upgrade your non Bi-xenon headlights? Get Sylvania or Hoen bulbs.

I bought the sylvania bulbs, I put in 1157A in mine. It looks ok, I think its too ricey for me.
I was going to go LED but since the headlight is one enclosed unit with no exposed wiring, I can't put a load resistor in. Unless I can put two load resistors on the rear signals (since I all ready have LEDs in them) to slow the flash, it looks like I'm going to be stuck with regular bulbs.
The LEDs would look silver without the blue reflection thereby giving the desired effect. I'll try this with the two load resistors and see what happens.
FYI, the sylvania bulbs were $9.99 at pep boys
