I disagree.

I think a car without a badge looks like "So I have the cheapest model but I want you to think that I don't".

What a load of crap. I have the cabriolet, which is generally the most expensive version of the C2 or C4 (GT versions not withstanding, but if they made a GT3 cab, I'm sure it'd be shockingly more also). However, I just like the clean look by far. So, I removed my emblem long ago using the patented floss and Wurth's citrus cleaner technique. It's so sleek now, I can't tell you how much I prefer it to that cheap black crap of a badge that they stick there. I might consider a painted version, but devoid of emblem is coolest. Plus, you never again have to suffer from little towel threads getting caught in and around and under the letters. If you want badgers, go to Wisconsin. Else, keep it clean.

I'd vote for the black badge.

If you wanted to go more subtle, maybe paint the badge to match the body color?

Badges...we don't need no stinkin' badges...

Although on lighter colors, a dark badge looks pretty sweet.

Put the badge on for the world to see. Looks to plain to me without it. Just my .02. Todd

+ 1.

Particularly this bright yellow car with the big wing. To me, the absence of a badge makes it seem as though the owner is trying to pass it off as something it's not.

I recommend a Carrera badge in the color you like best.

Thanks to all of you that have responded so far.

As of now I am seeing the following:

Badge = Yes
Colour = Black
Wording = tied between Carrera and 911

So lets keep them coming so that I have a good understanding of what everyone thinks, although I know it always comes down to personal preference. But again I am on the fence post for me so what I see here may make up my mind.

Here's mine:

I think the black badge looks cheap and I'd definitely go with Carrera because no crap it's a 911.

I like the Carrera lettering as well as it's longer so the back end looks more filled out.

I'd get it in silver just like the Carrera sign on the big boy Carrera GT. I like how the silver blends better and doesn't pop out so much like the black. Plus the finish on the silver one is this luster, metallic style which looks quality.

We're all seriously splitting hairs here, but hey... you asked, you git.

That is true. But I don't see that as a terrible thing The "let them guess" opinion is a valid one. Maybe it is the opposite: if I see a no badge GT3 look, I will instantly think that the car isn't in fact a GT3, because a true GT3 owner don't get rid of the badge. So,

My vote is: no badge

Ok we are now leaning more towards the Silver Carrera badge but with Yellow Bumperettes. Having a Silver Badge with Black Bumperettes in my mind would not look right.

So far know one with a Yellow car has shown me there's, that would definately help.

Other points that I have read:

- black badge looks cheap (definately do not want that appearance)
- the clean look lets them guess what car it is (hopefully they know it is a Porsche at least, but I guess a bit more information would help them)
- definately do not want to put something on that it is not (i.e. it is not a GT3 so no GT3 badge - hate that)
- with no badge you avoid catching the towel on the edges of the badge leaving behind strands or even worse, pulling the badge away from the body (hate that when it happens)

Keep it coming...much appreciated, the git
