Yes - use HSS bits to drill the pedals - start smaller than you'll finally need, then use the actual size bit for the final hole size. Starting with a small bit makes accurate drilling way easier - as does using masking tape on the pedal and marking the drilling positions on it - helps prevent the drill bit slipping as you start.

Use #6 oval head screws - I found black oval head versions at Home Depot so they matched the black rubber pads on the pedals.

Bought a few screw lengths to give me some options when fitting the various pedals - 1/2", 3/4", 1" - cheap as chips - easy to do.

Holds the pedals nicely - I didn't use any of the mounting hardware supplied with the kit in the end.

Plenty of pics installed
Required reading!

I think I will try and tap threads to mount mine, backed up with a touch of gorilla glue, when the time comes.

cdodkin-got your post a little late
Anyway, I think I did Ok except I broke one of the screws off attaching the brake. Finally got out the broken screw but not before I scratched the pedal a little, oh well! I used flat washer, locking washer and locktite(the blue stuff)and nut with 1.25" screw. Hope it stays on .
Thanks for the help!
