Anyone familiar with DC Auto...?
Anyhow, I am putting in the Pioneer Avic-D3 navigation unit (with rearview camera, bluetooth phone, ipod etc)....http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/portable-...ers-226735.php
So, I have to remove the 2001 double cupholders and I need to replace with the newer Satin black, slide-out cupholders.
I found them on Dcauto.com listed for $190.00
Anyone worked with these guys?
Here are pics off the ones I'm getting rid of and the ones I'm buying, as well as the (just released) Avic-D3. You can also change the colors of the display to match the Porsche-dash perfectly.

Most of the stuff they sell is salvaged from wrecked cars. I assume you're aware of that (probably not a flood car ;-). I got seals for my cab from them and they were just fine.

I could just take it in and pay the guy to put it in along with the stereo...

Oh Gant.....why didn't you ask if it would fit before buying it? The interior is different as well. 99-01 have gloss finish and the 02+ have matte finish.
As for trying to fit it, you will need some sort of bracket, etc., since it requires a pushing action to have it release so you need to make sure it is bolted down good. If you want my opinion. Get rid of it and figure out something else for cup holders. This is going to take some serious modification and $$$ to get it to fix. You are trying to put a round peg into a square hole.

hi gant,
well, i bought a less expensive driver, 99 996, with red interior to go a year or two till the c4s comes into budget.
but as to dc auto,- they used to be here in ct, and robert the owner is FIRST CLASS. i spent 4k with him one day in 2003 on mods before my 964 was even delivered. that said, as the other posters have said, these substitutions are incredibly tricky, and quite often are not plug play. but for 80 bucks, it's not a life ender if it doesn't fit.
regards
