what's a Tim?

pics will come 2morro...right now i'm going to crack open a beer and just sit in the sun...it was a total bitch getting these thigns on because my mounting machine is useless for big low profile tires.

specs are as follows:

19"x8" front ET?? 225/35/19 as i recall
19"x11" rear ET52 275/30/19 i think...it looks a bit ****ed..but i had perfectly good 275's lying around and there was no point in wasting them. once they're worn down i will go back to 285...in any case these are just for the street, i will get either VOLK TE37's, Agency Power's upcomming rims, or RENNWORX for the track.

LVDell and newport, appreciated your input on this thread.

cheers

If that is indeed an 11" rim then you are really stretching that 275 out. You really need to be running a 295 or 305 on that rim. Come on Omar, don't half *** it. Sell those tires that were just lying around and do it right. Your car is way too sweet to be given what is "lying around"

Are you sure that 11" rim is a et52 offset??? I can't imagine that fitting. I'd be curious as well about the front. Now go take some pics and post them em!

Let me show you what a "Tim" is!!!! You go to all this trouble to get new wheels and then you post up one lousy pic??? Come on, you are a Renlist veteran, not a "Newbie" so you should know the "rules" by now. Post up some more %$#!$^*(&% pics!!!

Seriously, I'm glad your new wheels worked out for you. I would like to see a couple of side shots of your car with the new wheels on it. The wheels look great!

I do have to agree with Dell (man, I really HATE it when this happens ) about the rear tire size. When the 275 tires go to the tire grave yard, a 295 or 305 tire would be better than the 285 size.

Did you ever put larger tires on? I run a 19x11 ET56 with a 295 and rub every now and then.

This seem like a good post to ask, I'm building some wheels for my car and I want to know what's the best offset for the rear?I was thinking some like 19x11 Et55. I just wanted to get the offset right before I spend all that money. my Porsche is a 2002 targa.

Thanks

is it poor etiquette to resurrect a thread this old?

A guy near me is selling a set of panamera wheels for pretty dam cheap.

They're:

10.0x19 ET61
9.0x19 ET60

Are those offsets too far in for an MK1 C4? I'm really not a fan of the stock twist wheels i have now. kinda dates the car.

Looks like most of the offsets from this fitment chart: http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/inf..._chart/porsche are in the 40-45 range.

Or, has anyone here fit a set of panamera wheels on an MK1 C4 yet?

I searched for a while and didn't see a specific thread about bolting up panamera wheels to a 996.

I think it's funny Dale never followed up with those pics and this thread is 10 years old. That's epic procrastination!

I visited this thread back in April, 2017 when I was researching if a set of 19" wheels (Kinesis F110) would fit. After much research I decided to get the wheels. They were specked for a 2004 GT3 with the rears having an ET64 and fronts having ET50, I put 295/30/19 on rear and 235/35/19 on front with no rubbing at all. It looks like I will have room for 305's in the rear the next time I get tires but not much more room if I were to go with a shallower offset..
