Congrats on the car Gant. It's a beauty.

I thinik we both bought our C4S' at the same time last year (July 06). In those 10 months, you've had 3 p-cars, two C4S' and now a Turbo. Wow, I thought I change cars often.

So when does the Turbo get traded in on a 997S?

Gant: Great looking car. By the pics it looks like the interior is in great shape and that the previous owner took care of that car. I have a question though. Can you only get CPO from a P-car dealership? What does the CPO cover? Since you got a CPO did you have the car inspected by an indep. shop.?

Again congrats.

(We won't count "the sub". That was just a month-long, free test car.)

I was going to get a 997S this time, but then I drove a 996TT, 997S does not compare. The 996TT is the only choice (IMO). The best way I can explain it is this. The 997S feels like the next evolution of the 996 and just does everything better. The 996TT feels like a SUPERCAR, it's in it's own class. It's that simple. DO NOT DRIVE THE 996TT. It will make you HAVE TO HAVE ONE. TRUST ME!

Like a QB who just won the Superbowl. I can't think about next season yet, I need to take some time and enjoy this win!!

Anyhow, if I do try to look into the future, here's the way it looks from here, now -- my new turbo will be in the stable for longer then other past cars.

I have been reading in the TT forums and most think the price has bottomed out on the TT's. So, 4 years, I'll sell 'er and look at 997TT's. That's the plan.

Gant-Congrats on going all the way for the TT. TTs are a beast of a machine. You will always have a smile when in that car.
Simon complemented you ha. LOL!

Maybe you don't count "the sub" as one of your cars, but WE certainly do!

I know that (the sub) was a difficult ordeal for you and I am glad you got that worked out. But we can't ignore it because after it you did get it settled, it was fodder for a few good natured jokes. I think you have taken all of that kidding very well, and I commend you for that.

Finally, as for your new TT, I can only say this...

What's with the "***" slur?

Come on Gant, you should know better. Call him a jackass, a loser, or whatever, but seriously, that is just perpetuating divide in this country.

You're right, what I meant to say was..."testosterone-challenged"

Nice job Gant...I'm a deal junkie so I know how good it feels to get a great car and a great deal...nice.

For what it's worth, I do like dealing with Parktown as well. They seem to be fair and they don't have a bunch of goombas working there... by that I mean they are not a bunch of "slick used car sales guys". I used to deal with Mindy, but I think she recently left.

Right on. I've always liked Parktown. Tim Devine was my salesman. He told me he had to completely focus on working the sales-manager to get them to buy my car for what I wanted. He really came through.
