Gant - very nice! I'm glad this worked out for you. Good job holding your ground! I didn't think they would let $600 keep them from selling the car.

Awesome Gant....congrats! And FWIW, don't listen to them when they say "you broke us". They made out just as good as you did. They can bring up the trade-in to let you feel like you got a smokinh deal on the trade and then drop a couple K off the price of the Turbo. It all just comes down to what they were into the car for and how much they were looking for in profit. I was offered 40K trade on my05 Cayenne V6 that is worth about 28-32 on trade when I was at the dealer last month as long as I purchased a car from them with a minimal discount on a preowned TT Cayenne. Makes you really wonder how much they got it for at (a)auction or (b)how much they screwed the previous guy on trade-in. EITHER WAY YOU WIN!!!! Glad to see you got a car that you are really excited about and doesn't have the sub feautre ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
You are going to love the reliability of the GT1 block. Just a breath of fresh air after coming from the M96 motor in the non-GT/TT 996 line.
Happy Motoring!

Congrats Grant, enjoy the car in good health. The car looks incredible and I love the color combo.
I have also contemplated selling my 2000 C2 and buying a 996TT. I can't wait to hear your impressions of the car, they just may push me over the edge to do the upgrade myself.

I hate to lose someone in the C4S family, but that's a sweet ride.
I hope you can find somewhere to drive it - when I was in St. Louis last week cruising I-70, I must've passed 3 cops hiding under bridges shooting radar guns.
I'm thinking you'll be needing to post bail in about 3 days, hope you have a good bailbonds place close.
And Phil, I don't think a 997TT would make you drive another 100 miles a month, you'd be too scared of Starbucks confrontations!
