I think that's GREAT....considering the fact that so many of the threads are concerned with intermix problems, RMS, engines failing at less than 20K etc....and who knows what all else. I'm absolutely ecstatic to see a high mileage car like this, and from what the guy says...never had any major problems. This is how Porsches should perform and last.

That is pretty awesome. 177k is great. Not surprising. It'd be sad if a 996 couldn't go for 200k miles...
... but at the same time, how many more does it have left? At some point, normal wear and tear will catch up to it.
And unlike other ads, I have no doubt they're highway miles - obviously he's only stopped driving it at gas stations. At 20mph, that's 368 days (24hs) of driving non-stop. Something tells me there were some highway miles in there

BTW - we need to introduce Phil to the owner of this car. Maybe this guy can get Phil to drive his car 750 miles per year instead of 665 miles per year.

I don't think I put that many miles on all my and my kids' cars combined. Yikes.
