Question How do make my seat heaters work?

Greetings - -- I have a 2000 Carrera coupe that came with 8way power, but no heat or lumbar support - so, I contacted LA Porsche dismantlers and just bought a nice pair or 2004 Carrera seats 12way power / lumbar inflate and heat -- bolted them in and all works well, except the position memory doesn’t work correctly and I am have having a tough time trying to figure how to hook up the heat (they sent the dash switches without harness) - I am planning to only hook up the drivers side heat, unless the passenger side is very simple to do.

Many thanks in advance.

Short answer is 04 seats do not plug and play into a 2000. Someone else will need to tell you what to do...sorry.

Take a look at www.dennisvogel.com and check out his article on adding heated seats to his boxster. I used these instructions to add the heated seats to my 2000 996. It has all the wiring diagrams, etc., info on relays, etc. etc. I don't know if this will apply directly to the 2004 seats or not. If you need them I can provide you a copy of the wiring diagrams for the seats, 2000 and 2004 so you can compare them. Let me know if this helps, GOOD LUCK!!
