Why some of you are so quick to dismiss people who want to lower their car astounds me.
So long as you're picking a set of tried and true adjustable coilovers and you're rolling on upsized wheels (19s for the 996), lowering is a no-brainer. In fact, it's a must. It looks better and it drives better.
Don't assume when people say "wanna go lower" that it's going to be slammed like the Lincoln town cars rolling on dubs. I've run lowered cars for 6 years and I have no trouble getting around public roads here in hilly Seattle. Just be careful. You develop a 6th sense for scrapage.

I love the cup car look. Doesn't look 'slammed' to me when you're used to seeing it on the track that way.
