Default replacing Carrera script with 911

Hi,

I"m replacing the carrera script with 911. Does anyone have a diagram or picture with the correct placement?
It's a MY 2002.

Thanks,
Stan

Isn't the correct placement on a 40th Anniversary Special Edition?

Actually the 911 isn't exclusively on the 40th anny. It was also on the 2000 millenium edition and many other "911's" over the last 40+ years. Besides, last time I checked the car he wants to but the nameplate on IS in fact a 911. Isn't it?

Yeah - why is putting "911" considered lame?!?!?! That's ridiculous LOL It's a 911 so why not put 911 on it..

I put the "911" badge on my car (below the spoiler, but above the hump on the engine lid).

It's a 911 after all. It would be lame if I put GT3 back there....

IMHO, the following are all ok for a 996 trunklid:
Carrera (or the model specific factory plate like 4S, Turbo, etc.)
911
Porsche
Badge delete

On the flip side you should be flogged if you badge the car something it is not.

Yup some people seem to think it's like putting "Turbo", "GT3", or "GT2" on a normal 996.

Get a grip folks.. we all have 911's and what's wrong with proudly displaying that?

I like the 911 badge, but, it doesn't tell you if you are behind a C2, or C4!

Thanks guys.

I could understand someone thinking it "lame" if I was badging it something it's not (GT3, Turbo, etc...) but what's wrong with badging a 911 as such?

I had several replies in mind to the lame comment but decided on the high road instead.

Does anyone have a picture I can use for palcement?

Cheers,
Stan

Stan, Loren over at Renntech.org has posted many times the workshop manual page that shows location based on measurements.

wow - didnt mean to stir anything up. just seems out of place on the back of the car, and everytime I see someone add the 911 script, it is not centered, and looks poorly installed. To each his own!
