03Targa, thank for the support. If giving your opinion makes you a troll, then I must be 3 foot 2 and have a 4 inch nose with pointy shoes!!!

I agree that some people on this board are rooting against me. I expect that from some. I know who they are.

Trolls are poeple like Benjm, who not only tries to stir crap up on my sale post, but points out items that are lacking. Now thats a real troll, and shows NO class.

It's nice to know people are still in my camp, thanks man!

Anyhow, I asked a simple question, what do you guys think my reserve should be set at, at this point?

Oh and Dell, I can assure you, I don't know these people bidding on my car, so I'm not sure why they would "shill bid"...

saw you lowered your price to $53.8K and the car didn't sell. Are you going to relist?

The reason I lowered at the last minute was, 'cause an interested party called me on the phone. We spent a good half-hour conversing, and he seemed to feel comfortable with everything.

We negotiatted the price to $53.8k and he was going to do buy-it-now. Only caveat was, while he loves the car, and thinks it's a great deal, he's 58yo and has really gotten used to xenons for night driving, which my car, has not.

He is going to find out about conversions for the xenons and call me tomorrow, if he decides to go forward.

If I don't sell it, I will drive it for a couple more months, and prolly relist for $1000 less. I will continue to do the same, until it sells.

Bob's thread relating to our sale. https://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum/343006-xenon-kit-or-swap-for-2002-996-a.html

Bob's email answer to me regarding the xenons:
gant,
those were the first guys the forum recommended. i emailed, asking for a fast reply on the 2002 c4s application, they do don't do phones
.
i spoke with FVD in fla. they are 100% sure they can supply oem drop ins straight from phillips or hella or whoever is the the supplier to porsche. they will confirm a price asap. they are very solid citizens.
talk to you tomorrow.
bob

Bob,
Here is the Xenon conversion kit I had mentioned. http://www.xenondepot.com/category.php?category_id=2

I’ve heard good things about these and they are pretty cheap.

Thanks,
Gant

I always thought the Litronics were standard on the 2002 and newer C4S...

Just reading this thread.....man, you guys are a tough crowd. Now I know why there's this notion out there that a good portion of Porsche owners can be arrogant jerks.

Gant.....congrats on the pending sale.

I actually have another interested party, a dude in Chicago that was bidding on the car. He's only 300 miles away and we negottiated to $54,400. So now i'm just waiting his decision. But if Bob calls me 1st, i'm gonna take his offer of $53,800

One thing I'm very confident about, my car will end up selling. Just a matter of when. If it doesn't sell this time, im gonna relist in May and take $1000 less.

I hope it not "I cleaned out my Garage" Joe from Chicago!

Seriously, good luck with the sale! What are you going to get to replace it?

LOL, you kill me, dude.

When I sell my car, I'm gonna start a very patient search for a 997S. HAS to be SILVER on COCOA BROWN, as well as certain options.

I agree. Certain people always have to have the last word.

Congrats on the pending sale, arr0gant... good luck with your replacement search.

I just paid 50k for a '02 C4S with 72k miles. Because I had to have Nav. and grey. and light tan interior. (it also has the aero kit, and about every other option).

People will pay if you have what they want.

It's my first Porsche and ITS THE *****!!

I did have a small heart attack after seeing Mayonaisse in the oil filler.. thanks to you guys I am recovering nicely.
