Seeing that in the oil filler tube is more than likely just condensation but if it appears on the dipstick, the motor is KO'd. I know, Ive seen it happen many times on my supercharged motors from hard leans. The good ol "milkshake".

Seriously, what 1999Porsche911 said, it is condensation. You need to drive it longer and harder to get the engine up to full operating temp for a while. A few short trips are OK, but too many of them will cause the gunk to appear.

Reading some of the replys I too wait for the car to come down from fast idle before I leave in the morning. Trip to work is only 15K, how long should the car warmup before getting on it. Thought perhaps wrongly the best way to warm it up is to drive, that being the case, after it warms maybe just hold a lower gear for the drive in?
Thanks all....

Will take Supertramps advice and take the long way home....
