Deal Feedback
Hey all I'm new to the forum and I am looking for a little advice. I am a lifelong Porsche lover and considering buying my first.
I have the opportunity to buy a 2004 Carerra S4 from a woman I know, a lifelong Porsche owner who regretably can no longer drive her baby. Here's the details.
The good:
Artic Silver Metallic paint
8800 miles
One owner
18" GT rims
Factory Warranty 4/50K
All Leather w/insignias
Power/heated Seats
Xenon
PSM
Bose Sound System
Many other options but I can't remember them all
The Bad:
Minor paint work for some scrathces on the driver side, however I can't tell by any amount of looking, feeling, or squinting.
It's on it's third clutch. (The seller had to burn through two before she realized she couldn't drive it anymore. The current clutch is brand new and she hasn't driven the car since it was put in.)
Other than than the bad stuff I listed the car is in immaculate condition. Always garaged, never used in the winter and babied from day one. I drove it yesterady and noticed no problems, pulls, noises or anything else. All regular service has been done with records to prove it. This is literally the car that has only been driven to church on Sundays.
I've tried to price out similar cars and find them ranging from $65K to almost $75K. She's willing to sell it to me for $55K. What do you all think?
Sorry no pictures. If I get it I'll post some.

8800 miles on the third clutch? That's a little scary. Other than that, it sounds great - have a paint expert check out the door, though... Be aware that you'll take nothing but massive depreciation for several years, though... Maybe 10k/yr... Regardless, happy buying! Hold out for the one you want. I made the mistake of not the first time, and ended up selling a year later just to get the one I really wanted.

... and the point of your question is....?
Get a PPI done on it and if it passes inspection, buy it! If you like the car, this is a "no brainer!"

Thanks for the input guys. And yes I do mean 4S not S4.
I'll get it checked out for sure, but I totally trust the seller and know I am not being taken for a ride, no pun intended.
As far as I'm concerned it is a 'no brainer' I just wanted to make sure I wasn't letting my Porseche lust cloud my judgement.
