Default Trade: Carrera Lightweight for Carrera Sport Classic II

I'm going to try this again...I have some 18" OEM Carrera Lightweight wheels (18x8 and 18x10) that I'd consider trading for different wheels. They were on the car when I bought and while they are fine wheels, they are not my first choice. They are in excellent shape. One rear wheel has minor curb rash (It's hard to see unless close up...see picture) but is otherwise perfect. The tires are Sumitomo's and have much tread left. I like the tires so if you have 18" wheels to trade and want to keep your tires, that's fine. Otherwise, I'll trade tires for other's with equal ware (75% - ish left). I'd really like to trade for the 18" Sport Classic wheels or Tech Art or make me a suggestion... Here are some pics:

If I can't find a trade, I may consider buying different wheels and then selling these, but I'd like to consider trading first.

Just my $0.02, but I really love the 5 spoke Carerra 18"s on your car. I don't want them as I have the factory turbo twists on mine (and like them), but I would keep yours on - really enhances the look of your GR coupe.

I think you might have better luck selling your and buying different ones.

I would be in the market for your, but all I have to swap is OEM "turbo twist look" 18's.

I'm actually not sure how much they weigh...although I think they are the lightest OEM 18" wheels. Probably in the low 20's. Does anyone else know?

Phil G...thanks for the compliment. I don't think they look bad, I'm just ready to change things up. I have always liked the way the sport classic II's look and I followed a 996 coupe the other day that had them and just thought that I'd really like to try that look out.

Again, I'd really like to do a trade but if that doesn't work, I may try to find some to buy and then sell mine for similar money. Currently there are no sport classics for sale in the classifieds.

Gator, My first choice is the sport classic but if I don't find any takers, I'd consider the sport design wheels you have. Thanks

I guess I'd sell them for what a set of the sport classic II's would cost me. Sorry I can't be more specific. Since this is my daily driver, I will need to aquire other wheels before I sell the ones I have. What are they worth?

Mark,

I got your email last night regarding the trade. I think the wheels enhance the overall salability of my car, so I will have to pass on the trade. But if someone buys my car, I will ask them if they are interested in trading for your wheels.....

little off topic I have a set of 2003 hollow spoke turbo wheels I would trade for 5 spokes. I don't know if the turbo offsets will work on 996. They are to wide for my 965
