I have the SACH kit sold on ebay. It's slightly different than the OEM. Not the less it works fine, I guess.

I recall hearing this years ago but forgot about it. I'd like to give it a try. How is the spring accessed and removed? I'll remove it and report back.

TIA Nick

Pretty easy to remove. Crawl under there and take a look. Only warning is that make sure you secure the spring before removing by inserting a pin or nail into the hole provided on the back on the unit. This will prevent the spring from coming out of it's housing when you remove it.

Note that pedal will be substantially harder to depress but it makes for a much better engagement feel and control.

I crawled under the dash and can barely move, let alone see clearly what needs to be done to remove the spring.
Any other hints will be appreciated.

TIA Nick

If I understand correctly, I need to first remove the clip on the pin that attaches the male plastic clevis to the pedal. Then push the pin out and push a nail thru the hole in the plastic piece and pedal. depress the pedal, remove a clip on the cylindrical spring housing, remove the nail, then the whole assembly will be able to be removed.

Can the spring and plastic clevis be removed and the spring cylinder holder be left in place?

This operation, with or without glasses is at a range where I can't properly focus on what needs to be done so I'll need to get a good understanding of it beforehand and go from there. Any other hints will be appreciated.

TIA Nick
The pin goes into the small hole in the piston that comes out of the top of the spring assembly (facing the back of the car). Message me your email and I'll send you a pic.

What is the pedal pressure difference between the Sachs OEM and Stage 1 and Stage 2 Clutches? Is the OEM the same as the Stage 1?
