You can adjust the pressure it takes to close the hood with the two rubber plugs on each front inside corner of the hood. I have found that these can get turned with time and cleaning. They also allow you to adjust the height of each side of the hood to match the fender.

If all else fails-use the big **** system.

Thanks for the info and the video.

This all came up because of one of the looking for a car threads last week when someone commented that the seller did not seem to be a P car guy cause of the way he closed the hood.

Then, I had the hood open this week, mine needs a couple good presses to close, and I thought, hey, maybe there is a trick. After only 65K behind the wheel, I am still learning new little weird things. For example, I didn't realize the rear seat bottoms were only velcro-ed in til about a month ago.

Look, here's how you close the trunk on a Boxster, so now we just need the same photo for the hood.

Could you potentially show the passanger side view in that demonstration.

After all, some of our readers are from Great B. and have RHD vehicles.

I wish!

I found this in the "I'd Hit it" thread today and was glad that someone answered prayers... now we just need the other angles. and the hood closing photos.

...not sure my wife would submit to the request, plus to be honest I'd be annoyed if she damaged the paintwork.

+1 because that's the place right on top of the latch (i.e., strongest)

I have been saying for years that Boxster owners have more fun.

I saved that picture to use on the Boxster boards. She is actually on the top clamshell.

You do not want to know how we close the front trunk....

I never close the hood completely...cools the engine better and the clamp will hold it in place even at 150MPH (I tested this multiple time)...temp needle drop to just under the 8.

Yup. Pull once for the front foglights. Pull it a second time for the rear foglight. Pull it a third time for a new light switch.
