+1 I agree...the emblem isn't that strong and only held by a couple of small posts.

I just press down with my palm firmly but gently.

I use my knee on the front of the hood. It's easy to do, you can do it when your hands are full, and it doesn't leave a palm print. Luckily my clothes are clean so they don't scratch the paint.

I've always felt that finding an appropriately hot blond to close the hood with her chest to be far more entertaining.

(get that image out of your head within 10 mins if you can)

I'm not so sure now. I think Riad may have stumbled on to a better solution.

After all, who's to say that Porsche engineers got the two handed "push" method right.

She'll leave nip-prints on the paint! That's a no-no!

Now, really, that's a pic I'd love to have... although the mental image is still pretty good.

wross996tt is right, I was advised to do just that when I first bought mine,
but after trying that out once, I didn't feel comfortable as it didn't feel right.
It's actually a soft spot directly under the emblem. The area immediately in front of the emblem is more solid
(I need to look, probably there is framework underneath that spot)
and that's where I push with my palm.

I push in the same place... single hand on the firm area in forward of the emblem.

Only on a Porsche forum can we have a two page discussion on how to close the f-ing hood.
