Tires for 19" rims + what size should I get?
Hello.
I purchased new rims.
19 X 8.5" front
&
19 X 10" rear
What would be the best fit? I would like to have a bit wider tires also, right now I have 275 in rear I think thats strange tho orginal is 285 as I understand.

You can run either the 305/30 or a 305/25 but the 305 width is best on a 10.5 or 11 inch rim. I would stick with either the 295/30 or 285/30 tire. As for the front, run the 235/40 or 35.
Factory combo's are typically 225/285 or 235/295. Stick with those. But with the 8.5/10 wheels you have I would defintely go with the 235/295 combo.

Cannot find same brand of those two sizes, how about this combination?
SportContact 2 295/30 ZR19 ZR
SportContact 2 235/35 ZR19 87Y
That means in front 35 instead of 40?
Let me know what ya think guys.

NOBY....the best option for you is the following:
235/35/19
295/30/19
There are MANY to choose from in that size setup (Conti Sport Contact, PS2, P0 Rosso, Yoko Advan Sport, Bridge RE050) .

Forgive the thread hijack.....
But can I ask you experts what I should do on stock 17in wheels? I'd need new rear tires and would like to go:
From stock 205/50-17 to 225/45-17 Front to offset my under-tired look and from stock 255/40-17 to 265/40-17 rear to give a little fuller look in back. I've use the online tire calculators and this seems feasible, but will my independed p-car installer have any difficulty with those sizes?
Was also going to add 14mm spacers front and rear. Or just front, but would that upset the handling balance?
I know 18s are a solution, but the budget isn't there right now.
Thanks in advance,
Piccia

What I'm trying to figure out is WHAT tire to replace my damn Michelin'es with? I plan to run my 18's for comp so I just need a decent street tire for my 19's (they are too pretty and too big for track and auto-x IMHO).
I've got a 235/275 setup on there right now (I'm also not on a 996 but 19' tires is tires).

I have four 19" Michelin PS2's for sale. I know you were thinking wider in back but sizing is hard on 19's. I was very pleased with this look. These tires are from Tire Rack and were on a set of OZ's I'm selling on Rennlist add # 11034.
Will sell them seperate for $800.00. They have maybe 300 miles on them, they were show wheels for me. Like new and purchased last fall from Tire Rack. Stored in heavy bags in conditioned space since then. Sold the car they came off of.
2 MPS2 235/35 19
2 MPS2 275/30 19
I listed the wheels on Rennlist. When I get home and have the tires taken off I will post those too. As you know these tires today are over $1,300.00. I'm in CT, can ship. Call 203-376-9551.
