Default OMG!!! Are you F***ing me!!! UPDATED W/ PICS

So I get my car back YESTERDAY from the shop with the front end done and in PERFECT condition. New Xenon's, new bumperplugs from Eric, etc. This mother F***er at the bar next to my office comes out in his 3/4 ton pickup drunk off his *** and slams into the front of the car, rear tire off the groun, then takes off. I bolt outside, get his plate number and call it in to 911. They pick him up a couple blocks away - he's in jail right now - 2nd DUI in two weeks. No insurance. My car is seriously messed up. Makes me want to cry. Pic's will come in a few days. The SOB is going to pay. I am waiting for the flatbed to come and tow it away as I sit here, 15' from where it happened.

Holy crap sorry to hear that! That's horrible and my worse nightmare.

Do they still burn people at the stake in Oregon?

Damn, that sucks! Good luck with the recovery. I hope you have uninsured / under insured coverage.

I am so sorry.. that's terrible. I hope that he fries.

Well, you can always file suit to recover costs. Hopefully you had good uninsured motorist coverage.

Check with the DA to make sure the also charge him w/hit and run. That should help you get restitution if and when he's convicted of the charges. You may even end up being a witness at the trial if he doesn't plead out.

Thanks you guys. He is being charged with hit and run and DUI, hopefully reckless driving as well. I do have uninsured coverage so things should be okay there. I've also called the Oregon Liquor Control Commission to start things going on the bar that served him. It's surreal. I saw the whole thing from 15' away. It was like your life flashing before your eyes and going this can't be real. I know in the whole of things it is only a car and no one was hurt which is very fortunate. But it sure sucks.

Oh does that suck! I feel for ya. Many years ago, I guy crossed two lanes of traffic and smashed the entire side of my 944 Turbo - it was like he tried to park in the passenger side. Guy had no insurance and took off. Painful. Best of luck, keep us posted.

Glad to hear you have the insurance. DUI and reckless driving is not enough.

That really really sucks. I hope it all works out for you and that he gets appropriately punished.

I feel for you dude - life's a bitch!

Just nail his a$$ and make him pay.

When ever I have a major mod done on a car, something seems to go wrong almost immediately.

It all started back when I drove a really sweet '86 Golf GTi

Just had lowered Koni suspension fitted, and was on my way home from the install shop, feeling super proud of myself, when BANG!

Front drivers headlamp shatters - glass flies everywhere.

Very odd, no one in front of me on the road to kick up a rock....

I pull over, get out and find....

A DAMN BULLET HOLE IN THE FRONT EDGE OF MY HOOD!

Some MF had shot at my car, and I was standing there like an idiot, waiting for him to reload!!!!

Needless to say I jumped back in the car and burned rubber outta there.

So your not alone, and I hope my experience made you at least forget the pain for a few seconds.
