Vey nice, they have a striking resemblance to the Porsche Sports Seats that I've been told are made by Recaro. I have the Sports Seats in the 996 Cab and they are the most comfortable seat I've sat in.
I wouldn't consider a P without them.

Do you know if somebody made a pigtail with plugs for the electrical connections or spliced them? Is the leather perforated for the fans?

Thanks!

Why wouldn't 6-points work with these? Mind you, I am Not arguing - just curious - I'll stick with my stock belts (I;ll get a GT3 to play racecar driver)

The leather is not perforated. I have no clue how the fan moves the air - although I see the exhaust vent in the back.

The support is unbeleivably good. It really is - you have to try them to believe it. That being said, I think I'd go nuts with the regular GT3 seats - those are really racing shells, whereas these puppies are like sitting in your favorite club chair.
They will make you drive more "forcefully" if you get my drift, because you feel "as one withthe car" - yeah, sounds hokey, but it's true. I really am very pleased. (and they look so good - I kept peeking at the car out in the lot today)

p dog and/or fig
I am awaiting delivery of a pair of sport toplines (black leather) as well for my 996. they were briefly placed in a 993 by the previous owner and come with those sliders and mounts.
did you guys need spacers or such and if so do you happen to have the part numbers from your receipts ? I assume I can reuse the sliders but don't know about the actual mounting brackets..
thanks

Why in the world would the installers hook up fans and heaters to an always live circuit?

Most high school aged installers would know to hook those items to an ignition circuit so they turn off automatically when you turn off the car.

Amazing...

Color is off too. You can get one of those dye guys to match them for you though. If you find a good one, they will match them perfectly for not a lot of cash.

I agree about the live circuit...can't explain it.

The color matches perfect though.

thanks,

There is no hole in the bottom of the seat to route the sub straps through is there? If so, I just found my next seats.

Take them out and re-dye them? I think not - They are at most one shade off. If you stop to consider that this was a 4-hour installation, the color is perfect. FVD's tech who they hired away from Champion did the installation. Fell free to call them and ask for advice - they're good about that - ask for Mark. Not saying he is end-all, be-all, but he has a clue and he is a good guy.

Wash DC - I'm 5' 8"

If one were a "big and tall" guy (ie a wideass) these are a no-go. For us athletic studs, they are butt nirvana.
