LJpete- Mine was also removed by original owner-although I never got it. I like the look without and the colored plug doesn't bothe me.

As to the switch n the dash, I plan on using it for a DIY remote garage opener and use the wires in the rear rather than having to rewire.

just so you know, it's just a wiper. there's no washer. I have the rear wiper and wish I could use it to clean the rear window from dirt, not just from rain/snow.

yes, but only up to about 15 mph. If there was an intermittent mode, I would use it a bit more in the rain

It's great when you need to back out of tight parking spots at night and the rear window is covered in water droplets. Maybe try Rain-X on the rear window first before going the wiper route?

Rear wipers remind me of minivans. But given that I live in Southern California (I cant remember when it rained last) I just drive the expedition when it rains (it has a rear wiper).

Sorry, no Beyonce delete plug available at this time.
Does this plug fit 997's, if so does it come in Artic Silver?

I would be willing to bet that it will fit a 997. Eric can paint it an ANY color! Go to BumperPlugs.com and check it out for yourself.

I hope I don't get a C2 with a rear wiper! Reminds me of my '87 Acura Integra! My 944 had the wiper delete option - a little rain X is all ya need!

My '04 C2 does not have a rear wiper, and I don't really need one.

Besides, I am old enough and, at the same time, still young enough to be able to wipe my own rear, thank you!

I always thought the rear wiper on a 993TT looked HOT! But yes, on a 996, not so good.
