There was a great article in one of the car mags (I can't remember which) just a couple of issues ago that chronicled the magazine’s team. I think they had an Olds Aurora with a V8. It was a great read. It sounded like an absolute blast. Good luck.

Yeah, it's been in Car and Driver, Road & Track, AND the LA Times magazine "West" did a feature.
That's why it sounds like such a scream, 50 ****boxes flying around a track. I'd pick up an old MG, probably make it about 35 minutes before she blew....

Save your receipts! You're going to have problems convincing the judges that you paid $500, and they deduct one lap for each $10 over $500 that they THINK you paid.

Lane and PJorgen good luck getting accepted to participate on the race. We also submitted our application a couple weeks ago, and we are keeping our fingers crossed as well. I exchanged emails with Jay Lamm on Fri March 2nd, and he told me that they would be making final decisions that night, and everyone should know if they are in or out sometime on the week of March 5th.
