Default Anyone has installed so called "Bolt On Wing"?

Hi! Newbie here.
I am in a process of installing aero kit to my 2001 996 C2.
I have the aftermarket side skirt and the OEM GT3 Front Bumper ordered through ebay but still looking for a GT3 Style Rear Wing (Not Taco wing).

Do any of you have a "Bolt On Wing" that fits on your existing deck lid?

I have seen NR automotive selling "996 GT3 Style Rear Wing" that fits on original engine lid for $1350.00.
And Better Bodies Motorsport selling "996 GT3 Rear Wing" that also fits on original engine lid for $799.00.

It is much cheaper that Original at $3500.00

If any of you have these wings installed, does the water get into your engine compartment?
What was your whole experience like?
Any recommendation?

Thanks for your advise in advance!

Why don't you try asking the retailers about that? This way you can also gauge how good their customer service is before you purchase. Good luck.

Hi Sambaek

I'm new to Rennlist - just bought my first 996 and want to put a wing on it.... which one did you end up choosing and how did it go?

Looking forward to hearing from you - Paulaporschegirl :-)

Welcome to Rennlist! Just an FYI, this thread is over 3 years old so you may not get a fast reply from the original poster.

I hate to get to the fourth or fifth post and realize that the OP was years ago!

Got to pay more attention!

Thanks - yes I realize it's a really old post.... I'm new to RL, and figured instead of asking the same questions as he did, I'd ask him directly to see how he went.... still, if anyone has any advice on reasonably priced wings, I'm interested in what you have to say........ Thanks :-) Paula.

sambaek hasn't posted anything since 2008 so he probably won't reply.
