Thx....I worked pretty hard, but it was FUN!!! Thats the cool thing about 996's you can go mild or wild...I think I am on the extreme mild end....subtle, yet its there....If I were to go wild...maybe a HUGE widebody kit....wing etc....but I am JUST about done...I have about 2 or 3 mods on my list....

the only aftermarket kit i'd consider is the Ruf kit - otherwise factory and painted and installed at the factory

Newport,

It looks great, don;t mess with it. So I'm assuming that you P car body kit is OEM Poly right and don't go with the FB stuff.

Factory paint is over rated....a good shop can beat the factory job....Factory kit, EXPERIENCED body shop for paint and install...by experienced I mean experience with Porsche body kits....

how do you have any sort of proof that the body shop paint job "beat" the "overrated" factory job?

the LOOK of it......also the LOOK of the shops paint jobs over years.....A GOOD body shop that does high end work will beat the factory every time....its funny, when I hade my 02+ done, they matched the orange peel on the rest of the car....lol....so I had to take it back to have the WHOLE CAR wet sanded te remove the FACTORY imperfections....now it looks AMAZING....not saying the factory is bad, but a GOOD shop will beat it...they wil use the same quality paints, do better prep work and better finishing....but you pay for that. I actually know someone who took their BRAND NEW Porsche directly to the body shop for wet sanding because he could not live with the imperfections.....it looked like wet glass afterwards.
