Cool! I couldn't contact him via the board, but if you could PM me his contact info that would be great.

I have some ideas already, but am always ready to others who have got some nice roads that they like.

You may want to contact Don Hollway, webmaster of our region, Central PA to post on the website, maybe work out something with the social chair.

Steve

Polling the ladies for an upcoming Spring Tour, they prefer a strip map instead of a turn by turn map. I asked the ladies because they are typically navigating.

Can you suggest something that works on a mac?

Also, what's a strip map? I personally prefer turn-by-turn, so have never done it any other way.

Thanks. I was going to send this out to the local PCA regions once we get a meeting point set (stilll fixing on the parking lot).

In fact, this all came about because I wanted to arrange it for the my local region (RTR) and it grew from there... officially, I'm still intending running it as an RTR event, as that will cover us under the PCA insurance and provide us with PCA waivers for the drivers, but everyone is welcome, regardless of if they have PCA membership.

If things continue the way they are Rennlist will be providing a large number of the participants.

968 Guy here that would love to tag along. I just joined Rennlist. Bought a 1993 Black 968 Coupe last May and am always looking for a fun run. Look forward to meeting other Porsche enthusiasts. I will check back for details.

Thanks, Steve (Harleysville, PA)

No, unfortunately, I cannot help with a map program for a Mac.

Below are two pages from a March fun run I am working on. The first is a strip map (page 3 of 5), and then a turn by turn map (page 5 of 10). These are maps of the same route. Turn by turn maps are typically twice the pages.

BTW, this fun run is dated to run on Sunday, March 25, for any NC Rennlisters reading this.

I typically use the first example, not the second. For me a mpa has to be clear and easy to read. The second example is a waste of space.

Sounds like a good time. Count me in.
I'm also in the RTR region of the PCA, so I'll be reminded about it in the monthly "der Gasser" newsletter.

I live in the Main Line suburbs of Philly and would love to join the group so long as my Cayman S arrives in time (expected late March). If I'm Cayman-less at the time, I guess I tag along in my Cayenne S if that is acceptable.
