Anywhere works for me. The weather will determine which toy to bring.

Excellent! I was actually just coming to ther conclusion that the area skirting the NJ border was probably the most viable route. I'd starting working a route starting in Ottsville and running up past Lake Nockamixon, up towards Hellertown, across to Raubsville, down towards Labertville, then back to Ottsville.

Now obviously, this was done on a map and I've not driven it yet, so have no clue on distances or timing, but the terrain looks quiet and varied and would enable good access to a starting point that those from out of the area could access easily.

As for a meeting place, I'm thinking of three places, depending upon turnout and the final route.

1) Wegman's in Allentown (close to the intersection of 476, 78 and 80)
2) Lambertville, NJ
3) Ottsville, PA

I'm open to other suggestions. I guess the only criteria I can think of would be accessibility for those coming from outside the area and a decent sized parking lot.
I vote for Lambertville, But if all goes well, any place will be good!!
Pleas PM me with final plans

Well, looking at the maps it looks like Lambertville works best, I agree - let's set that as the starting point. I've got three places that I see with decent sized parking lots, I'll just have to go over and scout accessibility and availability of food.

The 968 guys in our area like this kind of activity. If you think it's a good idea, I'd be willing to post it on www.968forums.com. At their last 968 Celebration in Newtown, they attracted about 20 cars.

I think posting it on the 993 thread was a good idea, by the way.

Sounds good. The more the merrier.

I've just gotta find a parking lot big enough to hold us all for the meet-up. Lambertville is not the biggest town around, so having all these Porsches show up will be quite noticeable.

The main street is kinda quaint and I'm pretty sure I remember a couple of pastry shops.

Looks like the Delaware & Raritan Canal State Park parking lot might bde the best place to get together Here's a link to the map.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...05166&t=h&om=1

Turn off Bridge Street onto Lambert Lane - there appears to be a nice long parking lot there that would suit us. I'll have to go and check it out to see that it's suitable. The park website states that there are no parking fees and the park is open from dawn, so we should be all set... just have to see how far away coffee and donuts are.

Thanks for the offer! If you're just around the corner, then it would be a great help if you could suggest a good parking lot that will fit all the cars that look they're going to show up. I guess the preference was for one need a coffee/pastry shop.

Looking at the map I see three parking lots that might work - the one I linked to above and another one on the corner of George and Bridge street, but I have no clue what the building is that is associated with it.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...94,0.00224&t=h

The other choice is at the Lambertville Inn

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...7,0.004479&t=h

but I think they charge for parking, plus sunday breakfast might be busy. I see another parking lot directly behind it, but again I'm not sure what that building is either.

Let me know your thoughts and if you know whether it would be viable to use the parking lot for start/finish points (depending upon the use of the buildings that own the lots).

I assume that there's still a coffee/pastry shop on bridge street, is that true?

We can confer on routes later on.
