So that at night (in multi-class races) the drivers in front can tell how fast the cars behind may be approaching. In ALMS for example the fastest cars have white lights.

And of course, some of the cars only have decals instead of actual lights!

Very mature, thanks for the feedback. In case you forgot to read my other posts, I was trying to give the car a retro style "look." As far as HP, I haven't really noticed much, down low, but it does seem to pull a little harder higher up, around 5000 rpm it screams to 7000. It actually sounds a bit louder and more aggressive. It's subtle, but I like it. I heard the GT3 RS ones are right around 25 HP, I'm not sure if that's at the wheels, but I'll let you know.

Just found below pic of a silver 996 with the decal, so you're not alone grant911!

It breaks up the clean likes of the 996. I vote no. What about you, Simon? Paula? Randy?

I loved the look of Dave_D 's white 996 Cab with black Carrera script, when I saw it last September at the Silver State Classic. There are some pics in this thread. OTOH, I don't think it will work so well on a dark car.

Like AsianImage, I'm a bit split. I think it looks good, but it might be misconstrued as ricer. It might look good on this 997, however (sorry, it's a phone pic)!

BTW, I like that your photo site has PCA Rally pix. I'm the rally chairman of our local (NOR).

It really comes down to if YOU like it or not. I was going to say don't do it...but then I realized you already had. Just my opinion, but I think it looks awful. Sorry.....

I'm not feeling it, but that's why they make chocolate and vanilla ice cream.
