Looking for new 19" wheels(19"x8.5" & 19"x10") for a 2002 996 C2 and would like to arm myself with the correct offset parameters. The car is lowered 1.2" and currently rides on 18's without issue. I've seen a variety of offsets on various wheels claiming to be a "perfect fit" for a NB 996...
Exact offsets or a functional range would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Oh, and while I'm at it, what would you all recommend as good value/reasonably priced wheel options and suppliers? Appreciate the help!
PS Reading this Forum and all it's members input is what put me in my Pcar in the first place. Tremendous resource!

Sorry, somewhat rude of me... No pics yet, but coming soon.
With help from this board I've recently bought a 2002 996 Targa. My first Pcar and a great decision on a fantastic machine!
I'm already in "Mod Mode" with a Fabspeed Muffler Bypass, B&M SSK, Vogtland springs, clear markers, rear strut bar, alum pedals and various other interiour alum trim currently being installed. Only thing missing are 19" wheels and tires... Advise and suggestions most welcome, especially on the 19" wheels!
Thanks!
Rob

Front 18" x 8" 50mm offset
Rear 18" x 10" 65mm offset
For 19" wheels you want to stay near the 18" wheel offset specs., especially since your car is lowered. For front 19" wheel with 8.5" width, stay with a 50mm offset. That wheel will EXTEND 6mm more than a 8" wheel with 50mm offset. Concerning the 10" rear wheel, I would not get less than a 58mm offset. That will extend an additional 7mm more than a 10" wheel with 65mm offset.
Here is a link to a wheel offset calculator that may help you (which is my source for the above info).

Hope this helps! Remember, YOU STILL OWE US SOME PICS

On the front....if he's talking only 1/2" more than OE then, in order to be 'comparable' to OE with fender line he only subtracts 6.3mm from OE (netting around 46mm.....and many space that out fronts another 5-7...... resulting in something around 40 (or more) for those8.5Js

Thank you all very much! You're the the real experts, as I would have received 10 different answers from local shops...
I'm going to try and get some "before" pics snapped this weekend, as well as some exhaust by-pass mounting pics for a member posting a bracket question earlier today...trying to do my part.
Any wheel manufacturer/supplier suggestions?? Not looking to go as pricey as Champion or BBS, but love that deep reverse lip look!
Thanks again!

You are asking for 'suggestions' right?
Don't get 19s..........get deep lip reverse drop 18s......the tire's rolling diameter (circumference) will be about the same as going 19s.
They'll bend less & self-destruct less, ride better, and be more fun cause you won't be killing yourself trying to avoiding 'road faults'.
If that's not what you want to hear and you are going 19.......there's a ton of good wheels out there.....ideally keep em light if you can.....3 piece if you can, from a reputable source.......Wheel Enhancements, Fikse, HRE, etc.
