Default 4 Wheel Alignments price range.

Man, I'm calling the local dealerships for an alignment and have received prices(from 4 dealerships) ranging from $150-$300. I have to assume $150 is the lowest I'll find. The $300 alignment must be one hell of an alignment!

Where's that and why $300 and not $150 like Tysons Porsche?

ASG is out in Fairfax, a couple blocks from the metro. They're a small shop and extremely detailed plus race history etc. You can actuall stay and watch them align your car. I had mine done there recently and so has several others. If you decide to call them ask to speak with Taylor.

I just paid 249 at the dealer, and they usually have elevated prices.

Default $300 sounds very high to an Austinite, fwiw

I paid $150 for my 2003 c4s from a highly recommended independent here in Austin. He races his Caymen S and instructs at Driver's Edge events. Maybe you can use his prices as leverage with someone near DC...

Soulspeed Performance

Good luck!

The lowest price for an allignment that I paid in the area was $100 with Jon from On Pole Motorsports in Clarksville, MD.

A regular price in my eyes is $200 that I paid at Intersport in McLean, VA

It also depends on what kind of alignment you are getting and how involved it is. My last alignment for my GT3 which included all the variables (Camber, Caster, Toe, etc.) and the alignment was done with a very sophisticated setup was $140 at the local indy most of the P-Car guys use here in the Raleigh area.

About $140 at Ruf. The dealer is <$10 more with the PCA discount. pretty much a toss up. Both do a good job, but the dealer gives a service loaner and free cleaning.

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but is there some conventional wisdom about how often this should be done?
